Terms and Conditions
Application:
1. These Terms and conditions will apply to the purchase and supply of goods or services to you (the client or end user).
2. By ordering any goods or services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Interpretation:
3. The company / Us - Lockwood Designs Ltd, trading as The Bike Shed Company
4. Client - The person or company placing the order, regardless of affinity with the end user
5. End user - The person(s) for whom the goods are intended for
6. Goods - Any item made or supplied by us
7. Services - Any accompanying product of an intangible nature. Includes but not limited to design work, installation and
delivery
8. Project - The undertaking of all elements required to create and supply goods to the end user
9. Site - The intended location for the goods to be installed
Goods:
10. The description of the goods is as set out on the website, via email communication and any other form of advertisement. Any
description or images are for illustrative purposes only, and there may be small discrepancies in size, colour or texture of the
goods supplied
11. In the case of goods being made to a clients particular requirements, it is the clients responsibility to provide all the
information requested by us, and that said information is accurate and clear
12. We retain the right to alter or amend the design of our goods to comply with any applicable law, and to improve quality or
production
13. The company reserves the right to withhold progress on a project, including design and production, until all critical
information is provided by the client to the company
14. Clients can request alterations to their project, which the company will endeavour to comply with subject to design or site
limitations, and ability to source bespoke elements
15. Alterations to projects cannot be requested by the client once an install or delivery date has been agreed upon. Any alteration
request may result in an extended lead time
16. Clients should familiarise themselves with our guarantee, which is on the website and issued following supply
Services:
17. On occasions where the company supplies goods on a delivery only basis, the client understands that they are responsible for
the assembly of the goods and will be provided by the company with instructions on how to undertake this
18. Goods can be delivered by either our own team or a hired third party at the discretion of the company
19. Delivery can be made to either the front or back garden where access through the property is not required. Clients must
provide any information relating to access (e.g parking, steps, etc), and the company reserves the right to increase the delivery
charge if access is impeded or awkward, resulting in considerable additional time required to complete
20. We will deliver or install the goods on the specified date as agreed. If we fail to do so due to reasons within our control, and do
not notify the client as soon as the failure is apparent, the company may offer compensation, and arrange an alternative date.
If the company fails to deliver/ supply goods due to reasons outside of our control (e.g. vehicle breakdown) then no
compensation will be offered unless at the discretion of the company
21. We reserve the right to reschedule an installation if the site is not ready or, inadequate information has been provided by the
client
22. The installation team reserve the right to not undertake an installation if the site is not clear and accessible, as described,
unsuitable, or poses a risk to safety or health. An additional installation charge may be applied for the team to return on an
alternative date
Basis of Sale
23. Any quotes provided are valid for up to 3 months from its date, unless specified
24. Quotes are for the listed items only, and do not include items that may have been discussed but are not noted on the
quotation
25. Rough estimates for delivery/install of goods will be given at point of order, with a firm date only being available 1-2 weeks
prior to supply
26. Lead times for supply of goods can vary, but all efforts will be made by the company to keep clients informed of any alterations to the expected supply schedule
27. The company will not be held responsible for any incorrect measurements provided by the client. If goods need to be returned
to the workshop for amendment following incorrect measurements on site, the client understands they will incur any
additional charges for this
Price and Payment
28. Prices for standard range items are priced as per our website, quotes and invoices. Any bespoke goods will be priced based on
the individual project
29. Prices and charges include VAT at the applicable rate at time of order
30. Payment is to be made, in full, at the point of order, for both standard and bespoke units. Once payment has been received,
the order will be placed into our production schedule
Returns and Refunds
31. If an end user is not satisfied with their unit for any reason, we will work with them to resolve any issues
32. The company operates a 14-day return policy, in which an end user may return standard units within 14 days of receiving
them. A refund of the order value, less an administration fee of £100 plus VAT will be returned to the customer. A collection
fee will also be charged
33. A return of any bespoke unit is strictly limited to faulty goods, and will be accepted if efforts to rectify the fault have not been
successful. The amount to be refunded will be agreed upon depending on the individual case
34. If a client wishes to cancel a standard order prior production commencing, a refund will be given, minus a £100 plus VAT
administration fee
35. If a client wishes to cancel a bespoke order once the goods are in the design or production stage, a refund will be provided at
the discretion of The Bike Shed Companies Senior Management Team
36. No refund will be given, and charges may be applicable (in cases of amendment needed) if goods are found to have been
improperly used
